  1. You are right up my alley!

    Spooky eye boxes.
    Needed-
    small boxes 6×4 in
    exacto knife
    clear packing tape 4mm
    christmas lights (red only)

Make the box and cut out eye and a hole in the bottom for light. Tape up so the ‘snow’ doesn’t get in. (I live in Texas, but did this in Chicago) String them thru bushes.

    Tombstones
    Needed
    Non-latex flat paint
    plywood
    saw
    2x2s
    screwdriver and 1" screws
    Grey spray paint

Cut out in the tombstone shape. Spray with gray paint. Using your imagination, write something on it. Cut the 2×2 into steaks and screw it on to the back. Place in yard.

ps- I like to use my family for the tombstone

    Elyria (my alter ego)
    1820-1998 (when made them)
    Rest in pieces

    Here lies Nikki
    She wasn’t picky
    Now she’s icky

don’t forget the fake spider webs and lighting system for full effect. (lights with hoods can be bought at home depot-use red or green spot lights)

I am the terror of the neighborhood! Good will is a great place for clothes for costumes. I like the layered look.

    BOO!

  2. Dress up as a scarecrow. Cover your face and hands so kids will think you’re a prop and sit very still next to the candy dish. As the trick or treaters get to your door, jump up and give them a little scare.
