cgi.ebay.com shop.ebay.com www.johnsendelbach.com a john sendelbach original of COPPER, zinc, stainless steel, BRASS title: MACHINE AGE METAL size approx 16 inches x 31 inches weight approx 10 pounds this piece was created by texturing 1/16 inch copper with various hammers and other tools, grinding, adding a zinc coating, then sanding the surface to expose the copper again. then i torch the pieces to achieve the random oxidation, cut apart and reattach them in an abstract arrangement. that assembly was attached to OTHER piece of copper and brass, which were hand riveted with copper rivets to the stainless steel background. the steel was patterned with a spinning sander and a torch. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ all recycled metal
